Amy Kelly & the Bill Ande Band are leaving an indelible mark upon audiences in Chicago's hard-core blues clubs and mainstream venues. Together as a unit for the past year, this formidable ensemble is developing a substantial following and is in demand for club, festival and touring work. The band mixes blues, R&B, soul, and original material into their own undulating hypnotic groove.
A truly gifted performer, Amy's powerful and compelling voice really captivates an audience. She is raw potent talent cut with professionalism and class. Amy has electrified crowds at some of Chicago's finest stages such as the Abbey Pub, MapRoom, Buddy Guy's Legends, B.L.U.E.S on Halsted, and Lee's Unleaded Blues deep on the south side. Her incredibly soulful vocal style was influenced heavily by Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt and Van Morrison. Amy has recently been crowned Chicago’s 2009 Windy City Gay Idol.
Bill Ande Band:
The Bill Ande Band's music ranges from traditional to modern, hard rocking Blues. The whole band is made up of veteran players with various influences from Blues,Jazz, Rock, and Gospel music.
Each member has the ability to light up the music with their playing, thus creating an exciting environment. When Amy Kelly comes to sing with Bill, the excitement reaches incredible levels.
